A&G Construction's Origin Story -

A&G Construction, is a construction company specializing in excavation, concrete, demolition, and occasional remodeling projects. The firm, founded by Lourdes Arzola Anaya and Marco Gomez Andrade, two longtime small business owners in Detroit who are partners both in business and marriage, was formed in the midst of the pandemic in response to a boom in construction, but with a long term vision of sustainability as well. A&G Construction was birthed in a time of unusually high demand for remodeling, new builds and new residential additions, like new pools for example, which require substantial excavation. Lourdes and Marco seized the moment to spearhead this new venture, but as successful business owners in their own right (Lourdes has run a travel agency in Southwest Detroit for over two decades, and Marco formerly owned a convergence store for many years), they executed with a long term vision in mind. They plethora of new investment in and around Detroit is something that both Lourdes and Marco now will continue long after the initial boom that launched their business has subsided. They aim to be small but significant part of the story of Detroit, in it's new renaissance and future path.

Experience
Over five decades - that's how many years of experience A&G's owners and employees share between them. Not only do they have this aggregate experience in years, but across many different specializations: excavation, demolition, carpentry, windows, roofing and siding, as well as some plumbing and electric.
Commitment to Community
A&G may be a fairly new venture, but the two families and all the folks behind this company, have a proud, decades long history, of serving the community, both in a professional capacity, but also in a charitable way, donating to various non-profits, and sponsoring everything from Detroit's Baile Folklorico dance club, to the annual Southwest Fest music and culture festival, to children's recreational soccer teams.
